Telehealth Appointments (effective 1st October 2020):
Existing Queensgate Medical Centre patients may still elect to book a Telehealth appointment with their GP. Please note that these appointments will attract standard practice fees with standard Medicare rebates (if applicable). Telehealth appointments are not available to motor vehicle or work cover related appointments.
Please note in order to attract a Medicare rebate, it is a Medicare requirement for the patient to have had at least one face-to-face service with Queensgate Medical Centre in the 12 months preceding the telehealth attendance. Private fees will apply in the event this has not occurred.
Bulk Billed Telehealth Appointments
Due to recent changes to Medicare, the process to allow our clinic to bulk bill some of our telehealth consultations has changed. Should you be eligible for bulk billed telehealth consultations, you will now receive an SMS message from Queensgate Medical Centre via Health Engine after your appointment. This will request your consent to bulk bill your account direct to Medicare. Once consent has been provided, you will also be able to download the consent to your mobile phone.
Unfortunately, failure to complete the authorisation will result in the consultation reverting to private billing.
Saturday Appointments (effective 1st May 2023):
Please note private consultations fees apply for all Saturday appointments. Discounted rates apply for pensioners, children and teenagers (aged <19). This includes appointments for vaccinations and desensitization. Normal Medicare rebates apply to valid Medicare card holders. Bulk billing will continue to apply for bookings with out GP Registrars.
Emergency/ Fit In Appointments
Please note private fees apply for all patients for emergency and fit in appointments.
